For the last few weeks we have been working on an exciting project – the redevelopment of Gosford Preschool’s website. Gosford Preschool is an awesome community run preschool at East Gosford on the NSW’s Central Coast, Australia.
The client was after a new site that was modern and would appeal to prospective parents. Web traffic is very important to the school with web traffic and word of mouth being vital to new parents discovering the school.
Nuts and bolts… the Content Management System
We used WordPress as the CMS (content management system) mainly as they were already familiar with it but it also provides the website with the functionality it needed. WordPress is great to use for businesses. It is easy to modify and adapt to most business needs.
Design brief
Modern, easy to navigate, appeal to parents, be in keeping with the nurturing ethos of the preschool. The school is adjacent to a bushland reserve and one of the biggest assets to the school is it’s large, beautiful outside area so we took inspiration from this for the design. We used lots of green, grass, sky, clouds and soft fonts. We created our own custom theme for WordPress. This is very important to us as when you create your own theme, you can tailor the website specifically to the client.
Finished product
We created a beautiful, modern website that is mobile & tablet friendly. A part of our service to the preschool was to provide training on how to use their new website. Along with this training, we also provided their very own website instruction manual. We believe it’s very important for the client to be comfortable in how to use their website. Our aim is to provide 100% customer satisfaction.
